Question Spent 10 G's on my car, and no 400+ power!!??

I have a 2001 Trans AM WS6, and I did the following mods:

-Polished & refinished factory LS1 crankshaft (Forged Engine)
-Billet 6.125” connecting rods
-Diamond Flat top Piston w/2cc reliefs
-Diamond Pro-select rings
-High performance bearings
-Fully balanced/blueprinted/Finish hone w/torque plate
-Patriot 243 Casting CNC Ported Heads (2.02/1.57 Ferra Valves)
-GM LS6 Intake Manifold w/adaptors (non-EGR)
-Comp Cam's 224/228 .581 .588 114
-Comp Cam's 7.400" Chromemoly Pushrods
-Comp Cam's High Energy Roller Lifters
-ASP Underdrive Crank Pulley
-SLP Induction Lid
-Hooker Long Tubes
-Hooker Y-Pipe
-SLP Loud Mouth Exhaust
-Power Tower Pro 5.0 Shifter for T56

Dyno-tuned to 398.75 RWHP at 93.36 Degrees F and 20% Humidity

OK, my question is... all this cost me $10K, and I am not even breaking 400 RWHP, besides the fact that the engine has not been broken in yet to a 1000 miles, and it was hot outside... what else could be keeping me from breaking the 400 plus barrior???

What gear did they dyno it in? Mustang or Dynojet? What was your A/F ratio?

you basically have a heads and cam car that aren't very aggressive and a couple bolt ons......but still i would think you should be over 400. most of your money put into your car was probably going into making it actually stronger wasn't it? and why forged are you going F/I?

Cam selection for your setup only nets you 10.42 SCR and 8.18 DCR.
So this a low DCR setup with 52 EVO (BBDC) (too short on stroke for midrange trq and power)

Either change the cam to suit your combo or raise the compression to get over the 400 mark.

You could have spent 6k and purchased an ATI Procharger. You would be over 400 then.

You need a bigger cam or Forced induction to go with your new engine.

you have a nice docile street setup. Ill bet it drives like stock and is very a durable setup. hit it with a 150 shot and call it a day.

With forged pistons and rods, i'd hit it with a 250 shot at least, but thats just me.

Why forge the enitre engine for a H/C car? I wouldn't forge unless I was going FI or n20, but since you did forge-you can spray 200 no problem without worrying about the engine, tranny/rear is a differnt story.

Hey guys, markozga is a local guy. His first motor was starved for oil and blew up. Instead of a rebuild he went with a full forged setup. Hope this clears some things up.

For a N/A motor that's a small cam. But for spray that'll work great.

Everyone seems to be talking "full forged" but I thought that I read that it is a stock refinished crankshaft. I know our cranks are REAL capable. Just wondered if I was missin' something.
