Bought A 2004 Gto Today!!!!
So I had a badass clean 95 Chevy Z71 with a 6" lift and 35's...AND a 1988 Monte Carlo SS...Decided to go buy myself a birthday present today, so I traded in the Z71 on a 2004 GTO. Now I'm gonna sell the SS too, cuz this GTO gets great MPG and its pretty dayum quick, I'm killin 2 birds with one stone! Tell me if I got a good deal or not. I saw this GTO on the Chevy dealerships website last week for $24,000. It has 24,550 miles on it, and it's spotless! Today (or yesterday 9-9-06) I woke up and looked online and it was priced at $20,471! Traded my 148,000 mile truck in, got $5,000 for my truck on trade-in, and financed $17,500 after tax and licensing! It's a bright gorgeous blue with black leather, and a 6 speed manual. It was a lease return according to CARFAX, and it doesn't seem to have been beaten on. It does have Corsa exhaust and a K&N airfilter. I'm assuming and older person had it, cuz there's not a single scratch anywhere! Is that a good deal or no? And Kelly Blue Book lists the value between $24,000-$26,000. Thanks for any feedback:-)

very cool.. congrats man!
I love going to my dealership for oil changes, right when i pull in the sales swarms my car and always trys to push me to trade for a GTO.
but yeah there are some real nice deals out there... in fact, henry brown pontiac (where i got my car) had a sweet yellow automatic with 19k miles on it going for 21k... thats sure seemed like a deal to me.
anyways.. good luck with the car man!

Mid-'80s G-bodies are cool cars, and clean ones are all but impossibile to find these days (other than mint condition GNs, but they are big $$$).
Assuming your Monte is in good shape, hang onto it. Or at least I would.

I never drive it. I've got a Ranger that i drive daily and i just don't drive the goat. Plus it'll be nice to have the extra cash every month.
Congrats on the purchase, you will love the GTO.

Yeah I JUST paid off my Z71 last month, and was looking forward to havin the extra $500 in my pocket every month, but the Z71 cost me $65 once a week in gas, and needed $1100 in tires, and like I mentioned had 148,000 miles on it, so how long would it be before I needed to replace a tranny or engine... Figured I could have a car that cost me $45 every week and a half and was gonna be reliable for a little less money. Oh well! And I think im lovin the GTO!

You stole that bitch. If the ever offer me $5000.00 for my 95 Silverado I might just turn into a Pontiac man myself. Now all you have to do is put up with the full coverage insurance.......I keep just liability on mine.
