HyperTech Power Programmer
Sup Everybody.. I wanted to know from the people who has used the programmer the pros and cons of it. My friend has a stock 02 ss M6 and was planning on getting one but wanted to know the ins and outs. So any thoughts and opinons are greatly appreciated. Is it just for tuning? Has anyone or everyone experienced hp gain?

So what do you guys use to tune your cars with? I checked out the HP Tuners and it seems kinda complicated to use. If anyone has previous experience on the HP Tuners, please lemme get your 2 cents on it. Thank for the replies!

Im glad this thread was started. Ive been looking for tuners for a 98, and hypertech is the only one I have found for a 98. Looks like Im going to pass now. Are there any others that are compatible for a 98 that are quality?

I got a quick question related to this. I bought a 00 Z28, and there is a hypertech sticker under the hood. I think someone has used it on the car. My question is can I still be able to use another tuner like ls1 edit? Thanks.

and for another question, if you dont feel comportable with HPTuners or anything, how anbout a very simple $250 mail order tune. Im pretty sure texas-speed does them along with pcmforless.com and madz28

What exactly is the mail order tune? I live in the Bay Area and havent been to any LS1 shops. But I've read a post on someone that asked about shops that specialize in LS1's. Thanks again for all the help.

go to ls1speed.com. they have a description on what they do with their mail order tunes. i don't know about the other's, but they charge $150. myself along with everyone on here will tell you that a computer tune with ls1edit, hptuners, etc is far more worth the money and the power gains are unmatched. on top of that, the tuning is basically endless on what you can do. i'm not telling you how to spend your money but alot of guys on here know their **** and if they say it is good go and get it you will not be disappointed.

I got one of those pp3's w/ my car that I bought 3 months ago. The only reason that it's still in my car is because I have a 160 deg. thermo and needed to adjust the cooling fans. It was tuned w/ that garbage by the previous owner, then I put it all to stock and just changed the fans and thermo, car def. has more ***** then before. Whenever I get my Delco 195 thermo sent to my shop (been 4 weeks, they lose it, then forget about it, then send it to the wrong shop, bullshit distributing co. lol) I will set it all back to stock, then that crap is goin on ebay. Maybe it will help pay for a lil gas in my tank. lol
Def. saving for a real tune some day.
