oil change light
My wont my oil change light go off? I went about 3500 between the last oil change and it came on on the way home from the parts store to change it and now it wont go off. How do you get it to go off?

Did you reset it after the last oil change? Turn key to RUN, don't start car. Press and hold the trip/oil reset button on the dash for a few seconds until it goes off.

Mine has only come on once since new, only 25K and a few battery and frequent tuning changes - don't know if that affects the GM Oil Life System or not - so I don't trust it. Manual says it can come on anywhere from 3-10K.

Read the owners manual folks.

Obviously having a dead battery doesn't delete your tune, so some things are protected, not sure if oil indicator light or PCM codes fall into this category?
Good questions though.
