worth it?
I am looking into buying an LS1. I have found a 99 pewter camaro with a 6 speed, ttops, stock stereo system and aftermarket 10 disc changer, 1LE suspension upgrades, SLP air lid, K&N drop in filter, and 107,000 miles. The owner is the third owner of the car and is trying to get $6,750 for the car. I plan to do some work on the car, such as full exhaust, possibly cam and heads, and probably a 100 shot of nitrous. I am new to the platform and am wondering if the car will be worth buying or if I should look for one with lower miles. Thanks!

That's so crazy! I'm looking at buying an M6 T/A with 107k miles on it. It's at a dealership so they're asking $9k. You've got a steal on your hands there bud!
Does anyone think that I could talk this dealer down to 7.9k or 8k and would that be a reasonable deal?

This place was obviously trying to rip someone off, but if your paying cash, they liek that.

LS1 will run a long time if taken care of--the other parts tho you might wanna look at, like the tranny an clutch-i'd run it hard a few times an row thru the gears, you'll find out pretty quick if the shift forks are bent or if it needs a new clutch, an if thats the stock clutch it probably needs it anyway
