Default After 03 ls6 cam install

Hi, I'm a newbie with all this so please help me with any info!
I want to put a 03 ls6 cam and springs into my 98 ls1 TA M6 using my stock heads. What size pushrods and what's the cheapest tuning that I could use with this setup? Can I use the stock 03 ls6 pushrods? Is there a different in length? Or,Can I use this pushrods that I bought from trickflow which I think it's 7.400 in length? And Can I use my stock 98 fuel system and Will this handle it? Also, will this pass my strict CA smog? Any info will be very greatful

use the 7.400 pushrods. you're not changing compression, you're not changing the base circle of the cam. you probably don't even need to tune it much, any basic tune would cover it. you'll probably get a 15 MAYBE 20 horsepower gain if it's tuned well. the cam isn't that much of a step-up, and you will easily be able to use your stock fuel system.

Got springs? If not you might as well get the LS6 Springs to go with it. Your gonna need to change them and LS6 springs would be your best buy.

are you doing the work yourself? if not, don't waste your time. you'll need new pushrods because the base circle or someting along those lines is smaller on the zo6. you'll need a tune to take full advantage because the cam peaks somewhere around 6200, and thats the stock rev limiter. zo6 cma can go to 6500-6600.

if your gonan spend the money, get somethng better. tunder racing cheatr cam, tsp has a few good ones, gmpp asa cam.

Lots of work for not much power. I would go with a cam in the low 600 lift ares and make like 400hp with all supporting mods.

I'll second the CheaTR cam from Thunder racing, designed to work with stock manifolds(a must here in Ca), capable of around 400RWHP with some heads and you will pass smog.

Stock tuning, pushrods and fuel system will work fine no problem with that cam. CA emission testing should be fine as well. I ran the same cam in my 98 years ago like that with no problem. I do recommend bumping up the rev limiter and shift points.
