Default Skip Shift Eliminator

Would anyone recommend this? If so can you still go first to fourth to save gas when you want? Thanks.

yes do it....i beleive you can buy a plug and play device, or do a search and find out what size resistor to put instead (saves you $20). definately do it. you can still go from 1st to 4th if you want.

Yup. You can either buy a skip shift eliminator from SLP etc., or you can get a resister from radio shack for like $5. and yes you can still shift from 1-4 if youd like, this will just stop 2nd gear from being locked out when you shift.

Last time I went to Radio Shack for the resistors about 3 years ago they were $0.99 for 5 of them.

Peace,
Craig.

Yeah I have had the car for a month and people were telling me how annoying it gets and I thought it was a great feature and they didn't know what they were talking about... But now I'm starting to get it... ha So how do you put these resistors in?? How do they work? Thanks for all the help by the way. Oh yeah and does the light still come on?

I think it's the best mod, cause it gives you piece of mind and no more annoyance. I bought the CAGS eliminator off of Jegs, just cause it looks pro.

It's the only mod, tiny though it is, I've made to my car. Nice thing about an older one like mine is no need for any extra parts to keep the SES light off; just pull the wires and tape 'em up. I did it a scant couple of weeks after I got the car and I don't miss it!

How the hell it survived over 100K miles with skip shift is completely beyond me.

I bought mine from Summit, couldn't take it anymore. Driving is supposed to be fun, not annoying!
