Default What would you do?

Basically Im just looking for a fun DD street car....what all would you do to a 01 WS6 M6?

I was thinking basic bolt ons...maybe gears...and a 100 shot of dry...what do you guys think? What would you guys do?

I dont want to be replacing the rear end or motor anytime soon....I do NOT DRAG RACE and I never Launch my car...I was thinking about getting into Road Racing every now and then at Heartland Park.

What would you guys do?

If you want to roadrace dont bother with nitrous. Look into shocks, springs, swaybars, and a few engine mods.

Suspension mods along with rims and wider tires would be at the top of my list. You already have good straight line power, but adding some handling will really improve the car overall. Then you could do simple bolt-ons like exhaust/intake and headers. I think that's a pretty sweet and very reliable DD.

Well I wouldnt use the nitrous on the track most likely...just on the streets ...It would just be for that extra edge needed to win a race...

Road Racing isnt my MAIN priority...Having a a safe...fast...and fun DD is!

check out my sig. i drive my car everyday, and couldnt by happier with it. its fun, fast, and it turns heads.

BTW being an M6, gears are not going to effect your gas milage much since you control the shifting. i actually get better gas milage with my 4.10s then i did with the 3.42s since i can shift into 6th at 55mph. its going to be more shifting, but trust me you will love them.

I had 4:10s on my old GT and love them!!

The way it threw you back in your seat in EVERY gear!!

Are those numbers in your sig with the nitrous? or without?

Do full bolt-ons + 150shot + Ram Powergrip HD = awesome street car!

what kind of HP would I be looking at? I just want somewhere around 500....is that a safe number?

Keep in mind I will not be drag racing, nor will I be launching the car, when I use the nitrous it will probably be just for highway use....

full bolt-ons and a 150 shot will be better than most things you will encounter driving down the road. after that, things start to get expensive. i would do decent suspension, bolt-ons, and sticky tires. dont forget your tune. nitrous wont hurt your car if you have it installed correctly and take advantage of all the safety features. also a great tune will make the difference.

unless you planning on running a 150+ shot of nitrous, 500whp is going to be hard to reach with just bolt-ons. i would do bolt-ons, medium size cam, and a 100 shot. that way you will be around 400whp all the time, and around 500whp with the push of a button.

500 isnt gonna happen with what you want to do. try a search man full bolt on cam only cars barely break 400-440 MAX

ok if bolt on cam cars are like 400-440 and I add a 100shot that wouldnt put me at 500rwhp??

maybe I dono how to add....i dono but it seems like I can have a mild cam and basic bolt ons and be around 360-380rwhp then put 100 or 150 dry shot and meet my goal...

That would be a 400rwhp DD...then 500rwhp at the push of a button

Im just trying to find out what people do to make this safe....like I said I would rather have the car stock then to be replacing a motor or rear end any time soon!

just because you throw on a 100 shot, doesnt mean that your going to pick up 100whp.

A 100 shot will be perfectly safe on a bolt-on, or cam and bolt-on car. just make sure you upgrade your fuel pump, sprak plugs, and get a good tune.
