You will need the bypass coolant lines which you can get on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LS1-L...spagenameZWDVW, and just get rid of your egr setup. Smog shops are clueless when it comes to our engine bays, just say you put a 01+ ls6 motor in there and your good to go. Besides that, you should be able to put it in.

Block EGR off and grind down the ridges on the bottom of the intake instead of buying the coolant lines, save the $50.

Default LS6 intake

I have a 99 Z28 and just ordered a LS6 intake from summit made by SLP that comes with the EGR mod so we can just bolt on and hook up.
Problem Solved.

Sincerly,

Default LS6 intake

Blocking off or getting rid off your EGR will cause the sevice engine soon light to come on at a steady RPM.SLP intake is about 60$ more then with no EGR.
Why chance having to fix something or modify something when you can buy a perfect replacement.

Whats the best way to not pinch the wires because i think i did that when i was replacing a knock sensor. Now i have to replace the KS harness so i will be doing it again.
