Any Ideas Ls6 Intake????
HEY IM BUYING A LS6 INTAKE AND I HAVE IN 2000 LS1.. WILL I NEED TO DO ANY MODS IN ORDER TO MAKE IT FIT AND THE LS6 INTAKE DOESNT HAVE IN EGR SO WHAT DO I NEED TO DO???? ANY INFO WILL HELP THANKS GUYS....

You will need the bypass coolant lines which you can get on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LS1-L...spagenameZWDVW, and just get rid of your egr setup. Smog shops are clueless when it comes to our engine bays, just say you put a 01+ ls6 motor in there and your good to go. Besides that, you should be able to put it in.

Thanks That All I Need To Know Ill Be Installing As Soon As I Get The Cooling Lines I Dont Want To Grind It Down Thats A Little To Risky For Me.... Ill Keep You Guys Imformed..

LS6 intake
I have a 99 Z28 and just ordered a LS6 intake from summit made by SLP that comes with the EGR mod so we can just bolt on and hook up.
Problem Solved.

LS6 intake
Blocking off or getting rid off your EGR will cause the sevice engine soon light to come on at a steady RPM.SLP intake is about 60$ more then with no EGR.
Why chance having to fix something or modify something when you can buy a perfect replacement.
