keep up with a cobra
i was asking the guys on SVT to see what they think, how much a 03-04 cobra would kill me or if ide be remotely close to him with the mods on my sig...just to see what they would say. suprisingly some1 with a 98 t/a said he would "teleport" away from me...just seeing if it was mustang bias opinion or what, he said a cam and a 100 shot and i could do it..i wouldnt expect to run him..maybe keep up...but damn, that bad? im not racing, just geting info so i can make a good judgement call when its time(if ever) to throw down on a snake

Not sure what that guy was smoking but a full bolt on LS1 would edge out a stock Terminator. Strong full bolt on cars make in excess of 350rwhp and stock termies about 365-380 for a strong one but avg around 370 or so. A strong H/C/I car in excess of 450rwhp would give a ported eaton upper/lower Cobra a run for its money and without the port and lower pulley the f-bod should win. A H/C 150shot LS1 would slightly pull a Twin Screw car on pump gas and 17-19lbs with the older style kb's. The new 2.6h and 2.8h are a lot more efficient and I have seen one make 700+rwhp on pump. Keep in mind It takes the average F-bod about 30-35 less hp or so to beat a Cobra from what I have seen.

You would probably run right with a stock one, if you can find one that's still stock, but I wouldn't bank on it too much, as it would be close. As for the guy that said it would take a cam + 150 shot.....no. Either one of those mods on thier own would put you way ahead of a stock Term and combined would get you in the ported/pullied range and then some. I plan on having a full bot-on stalled/cammed A4 car that will run with a pullied Cobra here soon.

You should be fairly close to a stock one with the mods that you have currently. But good luck on finding a stock one. I have several friends that have them with pulley exhaust intake and computer tune and put out between 450-490whp. Luckily in my h/c car I havent lost to one yet, but you can be assured the first time it happens Im going to get a Procharger.

With equal driving you will beat a stock Cobra. With a good cam or h/c you should beat pullied Cobras. With a 150 shot on top of that you should beat twin screwed Cobras.

my friend has a 03 cobra with a little bit of stuff done to it, he is puttin around 440 to the ground. i raced him with my cammed ls1 and it was dead even but i started pullin a little up top and he shut down.

haha..well got dam...time for a cam i guess....then i 150shot...geez..i guess that means a new rear too....time to start building the meth lab!!! thanks for all the info guys...if any1 needs some meth, let me know..papa needs a new pair of HP!!
