i have a 2000 ss stock auto im ordering gears and its a 7.5 in 10 bolt correct thanks

yes that is correct
verify what rear end you have 273 you need thick gear

Door code I think is:

GU2 = 2.73 - 2 series carrier (taller thicker gear)

GU3 = 3.23 - 3 series carrier

Make sure you guy the correct gear for your carrier.

Or don't bother with gears, a decent stall will negate much of the issue. Save the gears for when you break the 10 bolt and upgrade to a better rear end like a 12 bolt or 9".

if you have 2.73s do the gear.if you have 3.23s do a stall.just my 2 cents2.73s suck unless you are a top speed racer
