Do some research in the external engine section. Duals are probably the most discussed topic in there---answers to all your questions will be found there. Quick answer: 2.5" is plenty big and will easily support upwards of 500fwhp, 3" won't hurt a thing and gives you room to grow power wise---but ground clearance starts to become an issue with 3" on all but stock height cars.

I went 3" and i love the sound of it.. If your not worried about ground clearance go for the 3"

What about a mid-pipe??? Should i get one? or can I do individual pipes from each header?? By doing that will it lose power?

Seems like most people go 3". Texas Speed sells a bolt-up true dual kit of 3" mandrel-bent pipe.

I would suggest just buying the tsp kit and being happy vs. doing a one off custom true dual set-up without the knowledge.

Go 3in.
Use an X or H pipe.
Yes, TSPs true dual setup is pretty fool proof.

2.5" is just fine.

Funny how nearly nobody at all in GTO-land does any bigger than 2.5"
