Default Reccomended fuel

Someone told me that a 1997 Z28 with a stock LT1 takes regular fuel at the pumps. For a performance motor, I figured it should take mid grade if not premium.

What fuel grade should go into this motor?

Premium for sure. They are a 10.5:1 compression engines and require premium unleaded fuel.

Would running 5 gallons of 110 octane low lead gas have any negative effects?

Does it burn out any sensor, or is it fine again after the fuel is used?
