Lid, cat back, lts and an ory, a nice 90/90 intake setup, beef the suspension and a better rear end before the heads and cam.

like everyone else said boltons first. try using search, theres been tons of threads about this before, look around. If you just want speed then i would do a lid and exhaust or a stall converter first. check out the auto tranny section. They say it makes a world of difference. after that suspension, intake etc...

If you want performance for your dollar, lids and cat-backs should NOT be your first mods.

Gears, torque converter, headers, tune should be your first mods. Don't do the gears or converter separately, wait until you can afford both to avoid double labor charge. If you can't afford both right now, go with the headers first.

Exhaust is sound only, minimal hp gain. Headers make the power. Don't buy an intake, most cars' stock intake can be modified to somehow get cold-air. It can be done on a c5 for sure, look under the hood and use your imagination.

Also, do not buy any maf sensors or throttle body inserts.

doing the bolt on stuff first is your best bet. a cam with everything else is going to be pointless ..

What kind of gears and torque converters do you recommend for both street and at the track? And what's a ruff estimate on how much it would cost to get them installed?

payin to have gears put in depending on labor rates look for500+....i done 373s and all your typical boltons gained 1.1 at the track and 7mph......then i done mild cam and a 4000 stall gained .8 more and 2mph in hotter conditions.......and a 75 shot another .7 and 5mph........remember though you need sticky tires......

based on the fact you asked, I'll say the most gratifying mods for you right now would be a lid and a free-flowing, nice sounding catback exhaust. It is my opinion that the GMMG catback sounds the best. Tuneup (plugs, wires, fluids, elbow grease) is always a good idea.

When you get more serious, headers, tune, higher stall speed torque converter, gears, etc.

Good luck with the mods, and post some pictures of that beast...we love us some Formulas.

I would go with a 3000-3200 stall unless your looking for bigger but thats pretty good if you daily drive the car. Then maybe gears and like someone else mentioned a tire like a nitto. I think a 3200 stall.3.73 gear.headers.nitto will really wake that car up and turn it into a completely different car espicialy if you have a 2.73 year end

1.Lid $90.00 2.ported tb free or $40-$100 3.(Glad you dont live in Cali.)Headers and ORY pipe $600-1300. I would just get a cutout or go with tru duals for exhaust. If your going to race the car and I think you have the 2.73 gearing I would get a stall 3000-3600.$400-$800.But then again you could do suspension mods toget all that power to the ground since autos are good from a stop.
