Default Ls1 headers

I'm wanting to put headers on my ls1 z28. Any suggestions on which ones i should get?? Also which ones i should NOT get?? As well as what kind of coating is best?

I've looked at SLP, Pacesetter, Hooker, OBX, and a few others.. there basically all ceramic coating..

Go with Kooks or QTP if you have the money. They both fit great and are made of stainless.

I would spend the extra money and get stainless steel if you have the cash.

American racing, Kooks, and QTP are all good choices.

Pacesetter are the best I have ever seen for the money, unless the sponsor on here will hurry up and make the $400 SS headers.

go with PACESETTERS!!! its the best bang for the buck. nice tight fit!! alot of people will tell u kooks and QTP!! pacesetters probably are like 5-700 bucks..nice quality piece and coating. the kooks and qtp are like 1200 bucks. i dont see how u can spend 700 more bucks for a shinier coating!! the pacesetters perform bad ***!! me and my buddy installed it on my 02 z28 with magnaflow catback and it really woke the car up. it just pulls nasty hard up the rpm!! go with PACESETTERS!!

point i was making was for 700 bucks more, i dont see how its better because it wont rust! a stainless steel quality isnt gonna make u go faster. .like i said the pacesetters are just as proven as the kooks!!

they are mild steel, so no more than any other non stainless header. IT depends on where you live and what kind of weather the headers see as to how much they will rust.

stainless prevents this completely. Ive got the old ebay version (now i htink that a guy here is a sponsor and sells them) if i could afford them id have QTP's (kind of wish that i just saved an extra few hundred)

and to whoever said they were $1200, i dont know where yo uwhere going to buy them from, but a sponsor recently had a sale for around $650, they are normally $700ish
