Default New to the LS1, not to f-bodies!

Hey everyone, I am a senior in high school and have always wanted a V8 f-body. Well I finally got enough money and picked up a 2000 WS6 Trans Am M6 last night. Comparing the V8 and T56 to my 3800 and T5 camaro, there is no comparison, it's a completely different world. I loved my camaro dearly, but it's time to move on to bigger and better things. I drove it 3 hours home and it had no problems. This has always been my dream car, I never thought I would have a 98+ F-body with a T56, 6 Speed, Black, and the Ram Air hood/WS6 Package. Anyways,

2000 Trans Am
-WS6
-M6
-Hurst Shifter
-WS6 Wheels wrapped in fuzions
-114k on the clock
-No motor noises
-Leaks no oil
-Transmission shifts/feels awesome
-Motor has seen mobil 1 10w-30 fully synthetic its whole life
-Ram Air hood
-Black on black (leather)
-NO TEARS IN THE SEATS!!!

$8k

Being 17 you wouldn't think I am very wise, and that was true until I blew up the 3.8 motor in my 99 Camaro. Car payments, insurance + new motor, gaskets, clutch, machine work, etc. really makes you respect your vehicle. After I got the new 3.8 in (I did it all myself in the garage, took about 3 weeks) I really calmed down and learned to respect my vehicles. The majority of the time I'll only be shifting at 3k. But I'm not gonna lie, on the way home last night, dumping the clutch in 1st gear on a right turn, swinging sideways, then slamming into 2nd and sliding the other way felt pretty good. I take meticulous care of my vehicles and will continue to run Mobil 1 synthetic as the previous owners had every 3k.

Nice car!

Seeing that you had a 3800 Camaro, maybe I'll bug you from time to time when I work on mine if you don't mind

Shifting at 3K is taking it easy?

Congrats on the car.

No prob, PM me anytime, I know the 3.8 M5 f-body inside and out, and have gone through EGR problems, random misfires popping up that always seem to come back with the 3.8's, and a plethora of codes that trigger the SES light.

Congrats on the car.
Depends on how heavy your foot is.....okay so I am a spirited driver. What I'm saying is that half-throttle acceleration up to 3k isn't going to hurt your engine- clutch dumps, slamming through gears, constant high RPM use, and ignorance of regular, required maintenance is what will hurt your engine and transmission/drive line.
