Default Question about Throttle Body Spacer

I have a 2000 Trans Am and I was wondering if throttle body spacers are worth buying for more power and also do they really give 1-3 more mpg? The last thing I was wondering is do they give more of a whistling sound also?

If I port and polish mine I am so afraid that I am gonig to mess it up though. I also heard that it can mess up your idle or something.

It will if you over port it. Just take it easy and you will be fine.

Don't do it yourself. Have it done by a sponsor. It costs less than $200.
Everything will be fine...no idle issues.

Most of the sponsors are down into the mid $100s now. Good deal!

Really? That's excellent. It's been a while since I've had to price out
LS1 mods since I no longer have one.

There is a thread going in this forum about throttle bodies.
Here's a link to some pics of a ported & polished stock TB.
