Just finished building my WS6 and I need Exhaust. I've been looking at SLP Loudmouth, and I need to know what Headers work out well with this exhaust and where it's the cheapeast!

kooks LTs are bad *** headers... Texas-speed has em in stock usually, and the prices are bout the same. Any LT header will work with that exhaust though. MY advice, kooks LTs (1 7/8 stepped 1 3/4) + TSP TD (no cats). Sounds good, but only if you like it loud!

Kooks if you don't mind spending an *** load for headers. Coated pacesetter's for a good clean look and performance. I have the pacesetter ypipe and have no complaints. The LM1 with LT's and ORY with be very loud. It sounds like you have a cutout open all the time basically. But it's not bad on the inside at all. I don't care what people say. Cruizing at 60-65 down the interstate you can barely hear it. I love mine. Go for it!

Texas speed has great pricing. All long tubes and most y pipes will work with that cat-back. I would go with the pacesetter headers to save the extra coin. Buy the Texas Speed y and not the pacesetter, the TSP is a much better design.

Definitely go with Pacesetters if you're on a budget. New coated Pacesetters + ORY from Texas Speed is only $500. www.texas-speed.com
Where do you see that?

You don't have to spend $1000 dollars on headers unless you just want to. Like anything spend what you can afford but stick with a good name brand. I wanted SLP's but saved a lot by going with hooker, I'm not sorry.
Oh, and the LM1 with Lt's and ORY is very loud.
Very loud.

Pacesetters are a great header but they are far from just as good. You get what you pay for and the Kooks/merge collector header is for builds that are looking for all the advantages they can find technologically speaking, ie Nascar technology and quality for the average Joe. The more hp a car puts out the more headers like this matter. I would never spend 20 or 30 thousand on a motor and get pacesetters. Everything has its place and Kooks are the top of the line, and on top of it all they are stainless. If you are on a budget the pacesetters are a great quality header with whatever exhaust makes your ears happy. There is no header that dynos more hp than the Grott designed QTP and Kooks line of headers. I would suggest Kooks for an easier fit though. They may make 5 or ten hp more that another cam and head cars headers, but put them both on a 600 hp or better car and the more hp the more of a difference the tapered primarys and merge collector will make over the other designs. Especially a spagetti works design like SLP There is only one collector and primary design in all of Nascar and F1 and its the same type design as the Grott type header.
