Default How would you spend my money??..

I have a 99 camaro A4 with MAC mids, ORY, magnaflow catback, lid, CAI, ported TB, 3.23 gears.. 333RWHP/343RWTQ

$550 in my camaro fund account...

HPtuners? (I have a zetronix wide band) I have a feeling this should be my next move considering that I will be doing a cam this year.

3600 stall? (I'm going to have to save a little more for a YANK)

diablo pred/torque arm?

wait4me tune and a stall?

I want to put in a TR230 (thanks Bush for the $600 in may!)..

Im starting to get some serious wheel hop and I think it's time for a torque arm.. any suggestions? I have LCA's with both ends hiemed..

Thanks for any input

First of wait for the kicker coming from the Govt, if you qualify. I'm getting $1800 for being married w/2 kids. Individuals get $600 and couples get $1200 and kids are $300/peice no limit. That $550 just turned into $1150 DOH! It has more clought as $1150 than it does as $550 then $600 if you know what I mean. You'll get a better deal the more you spend at one time and TSP has is about the best place to bargain shop and barter if your polite to them.

Set a goal and then look at what you need to achieve it.

I'm stoked! In addition to the $1800 kicker I got 4k back on taxes.

cam and stall for 1150, you can save money with a used cam

Looks like you're making decent power for an A4. A stall would sure put some smiles on your face!

I would upgrade the suspension if you are getting a lot of wheel hop.

converter is the route to go...my TCI has great street manners and performs well at the track....dropped me down .5 in the 1/8th but lost a couple MPH....but keep in mind if you do the converter your going to want to do a tranny cooler at the same time...no if ands or buts about ti...shift kit would helpy aout too...but not a neccesity by any means...

would I need a tune for a stall in the 3600 range? It was my first choice, but some extra ponies from a tune or a LS6 intake (or both)are very tempting..

no tune needed for a 3600....didnt tune mine till i got the LT's and nitrous on..ran the car almost a year with converter and no tune...if ya put the converter on and your car starts redlining before the shifts then ya need a tune..but generally not

Torque arm. Take care of the wheel hop before it causes you to break other stuff and then you have to spend money on things you "have" to instead of things you "want" to. Like a busted differential.

If the torque arm takes care of the wheel hop save the rest until you have enough to do the cam stall and tune at the same time. You may still need lca's, PHB, or shocks though.

Default torque arm!

Well, if I was going to be spending your money, it'd be on MY car...

Torque Arm! Address your wheelhop.

After that, stall/tune, or shocks if you want to corner better.

wait and keep saving to do everything at once.

H/C, gears, tune, and suspension

thanks for all the input guys, A torque arm would be the a good move but I think Im gonna linger around the classifieds in hope to find a used one..

till then I'm going to save a little more for a circle D or yank verter.. Then I think I'll takle the tune....

Did anyone say 'Viagra' yet? No? ok

Since it seems like you plan to continue with power mods down the road, I would not recommend gears since you'll eventually need a 12-bolt/9" and you can wait until then to pick a gear.

I'd say converter (vig or yank) and find someone to work some magic on the trans so it doesn't shift like crap while beefing it up a little.

that would be nice, but I want to do my own tunning and I think the learning curve might be a little steeper if do all my mods at once.. compared to tunning for bolt ons and learning from there...

If I step up to 4400 stall wil I HAVE to have a shift kit?
