On a similar note, my coolant gauge stopped working, but all other gauges work. I took out the cluster a few days back, but it looked like I would have needed to disassembled the cluster to fix the gauge. I hate electricals, so I didn't bother with it.

Sorry couldn't help you much.

Your Speed Sensor is starting to take a dump! Its located on the trany. Call the dealer and see how much a new one should be. It should be around $70

2002 M6 - maybe the shitty "chip" the previous owner installed after the 4.10 gears is shorting out?

Do you have reverse still? My buddy unhooked his sensor from the tranny to "keep the miles low" and in the process lost reverse.

well i know that when i installed my gauge overlays that if it is cold outside, my speedo doesnt move with the speed, but it sorta jumps in incriments of like 30 until the inside of the car warms up, or if its warm out its fine... i just got used to it because i tried everything i could think of and didnt want to cut the overlay, so i just wait till the car warms up... but if you have a gauge overlay, that could also be your problem...
dunno if that is what you mean or not, just tryin to help ya out
