Default Anything to worry about when I do the Free Ram Air mod?

Hey guys, I wanted to go ahead and do the free ram air mod. I just ordered a lid for my new car, but I am gonna hold out a little until I decide if I want the SSRA or FTRA.

Anything to worry about with this mod? Just want to be cautious.

Also, a lot of people on this site say cleaning the maf is a good idea. My car seems perfect, so should I really worry about cleaning the maf? I just don't want to mess anything up.

if you regularly clean and oil your k&n filter then i would reccomend going to oriellys and picking up a 5 dollar can of maf cleaner. it never hurts to be on the safe side.

as for the free ram air mod, ive never heard of any real problems

You will just have to clean/replace your air filter more often.

Ok, sounds good. I use a paper filter and usually change the filter every other oil change, would that still be ok with the free air mod?

Yep just make shure you follow the instruction on the size of the whole you cut go to the LOok the kits most places that sell them have instruction on the size I think install university has a write up but I think it was missing some mesurements that I had that came with the ssra kit. Basicly you just dont want to make it too big or in the wrong spot.

add some ballast to the nose because your car will always want to do a wheelie when leaving a stoplight.

also, order the SSRA. the guy that makes them is a friend of mine.

You'll be fine. It'll be well worth it when you add a SSRA or FTRA
