Default What to look for when purchasing an LS1

I am preparing to purchase a LS1 T/A are there any common problems that I need to specifically look for under the hood that would be a clear indication not to buy??? Any help is appreciated.

Just basically look for anything out of the ordinary like you would on any other car, leaks loose wires or plugs, etc. Look under the car too and make sure everything looks clean. I can't really think of any problems that LS1's are specifically known for right now, but someone else might be able to help you out more. I'm on my second LS1 now and have learned a lot about cars over the two cars from this site and others. Hope everything works out for you.

an 01-02 car would help you out in the long run if you plan on modding Im sure you are already aware of this but besides that I cant think of anything, listen for a screwed up pushrod if its an M6 car too

Its a 2000 but it has the miles are low and hasn't been driven hard. So leaking fluids is a common issue with these cars?

Just the rear end. The pinion seal comes from the factory with a leak.
