I am not sure about that. But where is the white smoke more importantly coming from? Tail pipes or engine bay? People will respond a little bit better if you give more detailed infromation on your problem. Also try posting this in the internal engine section. You might have more luck there. Sorry I couldn't help you out.

white smoke is usually coolant. You didn't mess with anything else when you did the swap did you? Maybe the water pump was tightened back up good and leaked onto the hot block. That would give you your white smoke...

Is it constant coming out or was it only for a little bit... out of the tailpipe... I'm guessing maybe it is carbon build that got broke up after the cam was installed. I'm probably wrong though... I'm still a newbie.

well one of the worst case scenarios would be a blown head gasket..Especially because you just put it back together. Is the car over heating at all idling or when you are driving? If not, then chances are its not a blown head gasket

Like a couple others have said, we need a little more information. Some smoke is normal after a cam swap. If it's been a couple days and its still smoking then something is wrong. But if it only smoked for a bit after the swap and then quit I'd say you're good to go.
