Default Just bought my new LS1

I just purchased a 99 ws6 m6 NBM 50k miles exactly and 99%flawless runs awsome only some minor mods granetelli MAF with the Aftermarket intake lid flowmaster catback and hypertech power programmer seen time slips for it car never ran higher then 13.0 it was always 12.9 12.7 around there but the 4th run was a 12.57 is that a good run for a car with so little done to it I was Just wondering because I am a newbie when it comes to the LS1 I was just wondering if i have a freak or a normal F body thanks

what were the trap speeds? a good driver can go down the quarter quick but a powerful car will have fast speeds. did the driver run those times with street tires?

street tires or DR? What were the 60' times? If street tires then he is one hell of a driver!

thats what i said apperantly he used nitto t555rs on the back ooo and it does have a c5 z06 clutch but he showed me the slips he had them up on the wall in his room i dont really recall the trap speeds I just knew it sounded fast as hell and he was a pretty decent driver so idk it could just be a freak unless the timeslips arent his you make a good point tho LS1>girlfriend i want to call and ask the trap speeds I am very interested myself now

A 12.57 quarter mile with only those mods? No way. Either there are more mods in that car, or the time is wrong.

thats what i thought but maybe he was showing me a timeslip from another 99 just to get me to buy the car thats why i asked you guys it does sound possible for a freak tho and it does feel really fast but idk about that time either it seems a little low for a pretty much stock car and I would sure hope he didnt lie but either way its a beautiful car il just have to throw drag radials on and take it to the track myself to know for sure

I agree that 12.5 sounds like too good of an ET for what is done to the car. Just my opinion here, but I would remove the 12.5 ET from your sig. You didn't run that time or see that time run in that car.

But again, that's just my opinion. Good luck with the car and good luck at the track.

sounds too fast to me. if the time was in the 12.8 range maybe with freak car I could see it but usually 13.0 is what youll get all day.

12.5 = he must be trappin 115 lol

Yeah, I doubt it. Especially with a M6. But none the less looks like a nice car, so go out there and enjoy it. Oh yeah, and take it to the track
