New car!!!!! Problems already!!!!!
Ok, I created a thread or two earlier about looking at a low mileage 2000 z28 convert from a dealer.
Ended up going ahead with the purchase after two test drives and about a week overall of thinking about it.
Of course, when we finally pick the car up I drive it around town for several hours pushing it to the limits and start to hear a minor hissing / squeaking sound.
Now it is making a squeaking sound consistently while driving it around, with no issues other than that evident. Oddly enough, when i turn the A/C on every time the noise goes right away. I could do this over and over to get the sound to go away / then come right back.
This leads me to believe it's a belt possibly?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm going to hope so, I just have a feeling they may try to screw me as of course there is no warranty on this car.
They advertise 3 month / 3,000 mile warranty on any car sold, we'll see.
I'm just trying to get advice so I don't go in blind and they just ******* lie, and try to screw me over twice.

Check for a cracked rubber hose near the throttle body. I have seen a couple of cars that hissed because of a cracked hose. Just a thought sense these cars are starting to get old and rubber hoses will start to dryrot especially on low mileage cars that aren't run very much or haven't been driven in a long time.

prob just your blinker fluid...I recommend royal purple blinker fluid (all royal purple fluids add HP, ya know).
Seriously tho...if you could make a video of it, someone on here would be able to give you a definite answer.

It is your A/C clutch/pulley assembly. When your A/C is turned off, the pulley still spins on a bearing because it is connected via a belt to the crank pulley. In order to allow the pulley to freewheel, or spin without turning the compressor, a clutch is used. When you turn the A/C on you are actually engaging a clutch in the pulley which causes the compressor and pulley to turn together, no more free wheeling.
Your problem can be fixed by either installing a new A/C Compressor, or dissassembling the clutch/pulley/bearing assembly and rebuilding it or replacing just those components.
You may also have some other squeaks, such as idler pulleys, or tensioner, but from your description it sounds like just the A/C.
