Noob questions (big ***** inside)
Hey guys/gals
I've been searching the boards for answers and haven't found any from the questions/answers that were already posted, so here I go:
1) What is a cost-effective mod that would net me 20-30whp?
2) What is the optimal shift point for a LS1 with stock engine parts? I see some of you rev to 7k, but is that necessary for a bolt-on car also?
3) What rear end gear is highway friendly? (i.e. under 2700-3000 rpm at 80mph)
4) Is it wise to spray a 150 shot (i'm thinking wet shot with a bigger fuel pump) on an otherwise stock engine? I will buy the bottle heater, TPS switch, the tune, and colder plugs. Is anything else necessary?
5) What are some vendors that sell these parts that I listed?
Thanks a lot.

1.) Long tube headers, also LS6 intake if you don't have one (won't net as much as headers but will really help.) After that I'd say cam if you have your basics covered (ie lid, bellow, cutout, etc. etc.)
2.) I shift at 6200 and I'd say you'd be fine as long as you don't shift at 6700 a lot
3.) 3.73 in an A4 and for an M6 I'm not too sure but most of them use 4.10's
4.) I'd start with a smaller shot and work my way up if you think it feels good. personally I wouldn't go over a 100 but I don't ever plan on running nitrous as of now.

1. Headers
2. Limiter will not let you go that far. 6k is a good shifting point puts you back in the power
3. 3.73 will be below that hell 4.10's may even get you there. Look at the stickies in the rear section there is a rpm calc in there.
4. If you have enough to support it then yes it is fine.
5. You have to look for your own deals tons of the sponsors sell all of this stuff and more. That and I'm not looking for you since there was NO ***** in this thread.

lol dude these answers are all over the place. no offense, but if you searched, you didnt search very hard
these guys have answered your questions pretty spot on. 150 shot is fine with some tuning and the right plugs.

2) 6k
3) 4.11s will keep you under 2700 at 80mph in an m6, and 3.73s for an a4
4) id personally just spray 100shot and not mess with the fuel system
5) ws6store.com, thunderracing.com, summitracing.com and all the links to your right.

Atleast someone gave us some BOOBIES!!!
I don't even think the OP is reading any of these posts so:
Bore/Stroke ENGINE
Donkey Dick Cam
Headers dumped (no mid-pipe, no cat-back....just dumped headers)
NO TUNE
That may get you 20 HP or so. It's all about the NON-Tuning to get you back down to where you want to be
Oh, almost forgot. You need some "speed holes" punched in your hood with an ice pick. Credit Homer Simpson for this ingenius idea...
