looking to get some ideas on what engine combos you guys are running. stroke, rod length, compression, heads, cam, exhaust .....carb or efi....and what nitrous system. just wanna know whats out there, what your running and at what weight
im looking to put a 370 together, possibly for 275 class next season and already feel outgunned. boost is out of the question but still want something competitive. i already have a good idea of what im going to do, but just want to know whats out there. if i cant cut it in 275 ill just hustle the streets

Do you have the link to the rules....there are many options out there to help keep a car planted on that little tire.
The Texas true 10.5 guys are running mid/low 5 1/8 mile times on a 275/60-15 radial

small block posse 275 class proposal......hopefully it will be 1/4 mile

im not worried about keeping the power to the ground. more worried about never making it past round one. we all tried comming up with a nitrous small block only class for 09' but there were too many cry babies. too many different combos that couldnt fit the bill in whatever they were running. we also wanted a true heads up class.
projected times are from 8.80's - 8.30's but a few friends and other people i have talked to (nitrous guys) are thinking that we will see 8.30s and quicker really soon if not first time out.
anyway im shooting for a 370 on 2 stages in a g body, most likely going carb route but not sure yet. if i havent already bought ls engine parts i would most likely be going BBC. i just want to know what some of the heavy hitters are doing, if they will share. ls engines are new to me but im not completely in the dark.

lsx block, 6 bolt heads from tea, high compression with some good suspention and be done with it.
i looked to run as fast as possable on motor and then tickle it with spray. i went 9.6 with a nitrous converter. this season im hoping to see the car run 8.50 on 100-150 shot and run 9.2-9.4 on motor. i will be going bigger cam bigger heads and thats it for the motor.
then doing a th-400 so im guessing my motor times will pick up big
