built 346, heads and cam, 100 shot, good fuel system, good clutch, good rear, good driveshaft, and tired. progressive controller wouldnt hurt.

on mine, 100 directport shot went 10.98 and 150 shot went 10.71 @ 131 spinning thru 1st gear.

you could probably do it on a stock bottom end and a bigger cam with a large shot, but im talking safe setup.

I'm getting so close. And with just a Hotcam for internal mods. Absolute Speed heads and 230/236 cam coming in a few weeks should get me there no problem. The rest is in the sig.

Raegan and I will be running this Friday and she will be going for 10's. Hope to see you there!

150 Shot, bolt ons, cam, 3.73 moser, slicks, spec stage 3.

10.96 @ 126, the car has 10.6 or more in it with good weather and a decent 60'.

do you think with a 2.07/2.14 .525/.525 cam, Z06 valve springs, chromoly pushrods, ls1 edit tuneing, hooker shorty headers w/ gutted cats and straight pipe, 150 shot, mcleod dual disc, strange 12bolt w/4.10 gears, front skinnies, 28"MT slicks and launching at 5k, I will be in the 10.XXX range?

i think that you will need a bit bigger cam then that but it is possible. that really looks like a mid 11 second combo though. i would go with a 224/230 114 and LTs myself. that sould do it.

Assassin, I think the gears will pull your combo thru, the cam is small, but it holds good cylinder pressure for nitrous use, and again the gears. The hookler shorties and gutted cats might hurt, but maybe not. What do you have for suspension?

I've got 2"intrax drop springs, edelbrock STB, and .......some brand name shocks, I plan on putting the control arm relocation brackets on, do you have any other suggestions to get me there?, I know the cam is small but I went that small because I wuz trying to get there without getting bigger injectors!, I also went with the shortys because I thought with the gutted cats it wouldnt make too much of a difference from LT's, but money wuz also an issue, I'm on a tight *** budget, I'll get the LT's if they make a huge difference,
Hey cat3, are you on oahu?

Yep, Oahu tied. I doubt the LTs will make enough over your combo to justify the cost. They seem to make less on the 00-02 then the 98-99 I guess the manifolds are that much better on the newer models. The dropped springs might hurt a little for the launch, especially if you havent done any weight reduction or relocation. Try disconnecting your front sway bar for that race...you can simply unbolt the end links and run it like that, should help a bit. I really think you shoudl have got a slightly bigger cam, and then went ahead and got the injectors, cant say for sure, but I bet at WOT once you get into the higher RPM you are over 80% IDC even with the stock cam let alone that little one you got. Might want to check that out. I have a set of 30# Accels setting here, think I might end up buying some 36# those should match my plans a little better.

Charlie.
