Default 300 shot on stock bottom

thats right, i did it at the thunder shootout. i put the 300 horse jets in to run the final round of ms/pa. i also put in 2 gallons of c-12(on top of the half tank of 100.). a little overkill id think. i also put a slightly larger fuel jet in. car didnt run to well but it stayed together. ran a 10.09 @ 133. the o2's were pegged at .999 mv. the whole run, and i pulled only .7 degrees of kr on the launch. next time ill put a smaller fuel jet in and just stay with the 100 octane gas. also, ill tune for it as well . hopefully soon ill be able to post times with it.

Rob,
That is crazy , but you have made me a believer of the stock bottom end. That is why I think a 200 shot is in my future.

Are you running a progressive controller or a multi stage? Surely your not spraying that all at once out of the hole.

OT-Koolrayz- How did you come up with a 112hp jetting? If you mean thats what you got at the dyno, you really should leave the actual size jetted in the sig..just my .02

yeah, i spray out of the hole. and i have a purge so no need to hit it in the bleach box . i dont have anything from Futral Motorsports. it must have been the other white ss with cmotorsports.com plastered on the side of the car that you heard that. and after my last 250 shot i sprayed, i did have some alluminum on the #8 plug. i havent looked at them yet after the 300 shot. but the sooner it blows up, the sooner it comes out . i do need a colder plug though. i just have to find some tr-8's.

"some aluminum on the plug"

I love how nonchalant you are about it.

Impressive testicular fortitude.

yeah it's been done before. Guy named Brooke was spraying 300 out of the hole a few years back on stock shortblocks.Think he went through a few.He would just have MTI pop in another used block when he blew up one.
Eventually he made some of the most impressive ls1 carnage I have ever seen.
Managed to bend every rod and break a few in half, broke many pistons and other destruction all on 1 pass.
And it all happened about 60ft out from the launch.
He had video of the run and the tear down destruction pics on ls1.com a long time ago. Well before this board was created.
Your days are numbered indeed.

CAT3-- My 2 stage is a 3 jet system. single .028 on the first stage, 2-.028 in the second stage. according to the chart in the colonels nitrous tips. 2-.028jets=75 shot. I did just notice that the chart shows a single .028 as a 35 shot i had been listing it as a 37 shot so technicaly by the chart it really is listed as a 110 shot. I also have been known to run 2-.030 on the second stage which is a 87shot.
Another thing about the colonels nitrous chart i never understood was; if one .028 (35shot)is about half of two .028 (75shot) why does it take a single .037 jet to make a 50shot when two .032 jets are a 100shot. by the logic of the 75 shot pills a single .032 should be a 50shot? I know of no 3 jet charts that would say how 3 jets comin off of 2 soleniods with one main line react to each other. as im only spraying a small dry shot i havent been to concerned with anything except my A/F. It gets confusing and i think your right about listing jet sizes instead of claimed "shot" ratings so people can compare apples to apples. Sorry if this is off topic dont mean to thread hijack just a long winded answer to something i have questioned myself on many times.

What would that make a .086 jet?
