Well, Im going to get back to it!!!
Ive had the itch for the hole season, i just never scratched it do to bad times with work, responsibilities that limited my spending do to slow work and lay offs i had to be sure i had cash in hand to make payroll and pay might light bill etc etc etc. not to mention buying my boat and trailer.
So i took the season off in order to keep my bussnes in good standings.
well ive made it so far which i cant say the same for my compitition atleast 4 other HVAC companys that i compeat with daily have gone under which is good for me. we hit some bumps along the way and are not out of the woods just yet but after taking the season off of something i love so much i have decided throughout the winter i am going to put her back together.
Im going to be dropping the block off tomorrow at the machine shop for a clean up, new cam bearings etc and i will be ordering rods in the next 2-3 weeks. this is all i need to get the short block back together.
I will pick at it slowly and get the short block done by february. I know it sounds like a long time, but winter is close and sled season starts for me in less then 3 weeks so i will take my time, get it done. come march i will speak with tea and decide on heads and put the motor back in the car.
I got the itch back hard and finnally going to put it back together.
I will not be going for a number like i have in the past, i accually thing im going to shoot to run the 9.5 class on motor, and maybe a few test and tunes hit it with some go go.
im accually planning on using it more on the street which i missed the most, so big mufflers will probably be going on and my dealer plate off the chute.
it will be slow but im going back to it and im exited to do so. i accually wiped the car off last night

ill still run it out the back door, but im leaning towards keeping it in 1 piece for a few years and spraying it every weekend is not going to let that happen. i got sick of always doing something and spending big bucks and tons of time for short blasts of fun. i want to enjoy it again.

Brad,
I here you on the responsibilities. With my wife back in school full time I have had to behave as well. Sure is hard when you are helping people on a daily basis that are building some bad *** cars..
Letting them sit for a while is better than selling them and wishing you had not..

it'll cost you significantly less overall and you'll most likely have a lot less down time. Maybe even win a few bucks in the index classes.
