Default To spray or not to spray.......

Hi guys, I have a 00 trans am M6. It has 186k miles on the bottom end. PRC stage 2.5 5.3 heads, 232/236 cam, SLP LS6 intake, Jethot longtubes, Borla catback, spec 2 clutch, six speeds inc trans. All the parts have around 15-20k miles on them. I got a NX wet kit dirt cheap and was gonna put it on the car. My question is will I be fine with 100 shot? Im gonna have some timing pulled if I end up going through with it. Please give me your opinions on this. Thanks in advance!

Id be more worried about your stock 10 bolt then your bottom end.

IMOP your already on borrowed time and spraying that thing will only shorten its life tremendously. If you had the money to buy a new motor or rebuild I'd spray the **** out of it.

Might be stressing your fuel system. Do you have an upgraded pump or injectors?

We have sprayed some high mileage ls motors over the years. I even had a call from a customer with a ridiculous amount of mileage...I think he's on this site somewhere. Best advice I can give is to check the status of the motor now with a leak down so you can see what's going on in the cylinders. If everything checks go for it. I would recommend taking all the steps necessary for safety...items such as the microedge, filter, as well as a nice system such as the unique 360* spray pattern on our plates are proven pieces to help keep things safe and together.

I would also suggest addressing the fuel system as well. Make sure you have a good pump on there to support the shot.

As stated above i'd do a leak down test and go from there. With what you have done to the car if you havent already upgraded the fuel pump you will need to do that. I'd suggest the Racetroinix system....it offers a plug n play setup that makes it a breeze to install http://www.nitrousoutlet.com/catalog...0&product=3318 paired with this http://www.nitrousoutlet.com/catalog...3&product=3721

I would spray if your motor is still strong and feels strong. I just wouldnt go cheap with it. As stated above make sure you get a nice fuel pump and a window switch. But I have to agree with the 2nd post, I would be more worried about your 10 bolt then your bottom end, also I'd be worried about your clutch!
