Default anyone spraying 250 on a TNT

i knew a guy that tryied it twice and melted pistons twice. also i have read about people trying it without any luck. 250 through the intake does sound crazy so why do they make it. has anyone here sprayed a 250shot wet kit though the intake with any success and not melting the rear cylinders due to poor fuel delivery.

steve.

I made several passes on a 250 shot when I was running the TNT wet kit. No issues whatsoever.

No, forged pistons and rods. If you properly setup you fuel system you should be OK for a while. Notice I said for a while.

Rob,

How are you breaking up your shots? Are you using a dual with both stages hitting at launch or are you using say a 150 stage 1 at launch and a 100 or 150 stage 2 on the button out past the 60'?

so whats all this talk about people metling pistons because of poor fuel delivary though an intake only desinged for air and not fuel. do you think it is only people that try it on a stock fuel pump that have problems? i am wondering.

I called TNT and they told me that I would be able to spray a 250 shot without any distibution issues. Anything above that TNT said would be a iffy situation. I made over a dozen passes with a 250 shot and never had a problem. Now I'm running a NOS Direct Port 300 shot and still have no problems. It's all in the setup and the fuel system.

I wouldn't count that idea out. I heard now the industry is using a voltage booster to "up" the voltage on the fuel pump, and it works!

you talking about brooke? *99redhawk* he had the record for a while with 10.43 130mph on a tiny heads/cam setup, stock bottom end, stock tranny, stock rearend, the motor ended up letting go after it just couldnt hold together anymore, he put another stock shortblock in the car and sold it. that was over 3 years ago when he did that

does anyone have there NA and N2O dyno numbers with a 250TNT shot? is it really making that at the wheels? a 250 is all that i want to run, maybe even a 300 and i am debating which way i should go TNT or NOS fogger. of coarse the TNT is cheaper to do but i dont what to have any problems since i plan on spraying it for the whole season next year.

I have my numbers somewhere but they have a lot of dust on them. Ran a 250 shot TNT and made 650 ish RWHP and the torque was un-measurable.

Stock rear end, stock short block .. Was only getting about two runs per tranny and never made a good clean run. 10.43 was the best time back then.
