There is actually a few states that it is against the law in. Its just one of them things that depend on the cop. And if your cought racing on the street im sure getting a nitrous ticket is the least of your worries.

That would defiantly be a loophole.

its just another bullshit law, politians passed in order to look sympathic to the trooper's family. It states to prohibit the "use" of nitrous oxide. How do you Prove the nitrous was in "use".

I know here they say if you have it in your car you have to have the main feed line disconnected. But I just make sure my kit is well hidden. Not just in the open where everyone can see it.

I never understand why more people don't join SEMA's action network...there are people that go to bat for you and the performance industry and help lobby against dumb bills. Its free guys, please sign up and notify them of pending bills.

From a performance standpoint, it's no different than a turbo or supercharger, and those come STOCK on some cars!

BS is you ask me.

No problem. For anyone else looking just jump over to sema.org and follow the links. And what is also nice is that they provide a list of "hobbyist" law makers that do take a small interest in this hobby.

I always hate posting political views up here, but honestly if anyone spent 5 minutes looking they'd find A LOT of bs. The majority of which are just tacked on to gain support from other politicians. lol if the American people would sit down and see what actually happens in most political arenas they'd all be bulimic from throwing up their food all the time. Its pathetic and its a popularity contest and the one who can make polished **** look the best wins.

Guys it says its illegal to use on the street. A lot of states have had this law, this is nothing new. Yes I do feel it is bullshit though as stated, cars from the factory have superchargers/turbos and yet the nitrous gets the bad rap.

When reading it, it doesn't say you can't have it installed, just can't use it on the street. You may say oh but I'm not racing. You have to read state to state, some statues you don't have to have a opponent to be racing either.

Yea way I understand it, is its the cops decision if you are racing even if your alone. So since I have a 4400 stall on the street, it might sound like I am racing lol.

http://www.legislature.state.oh.us/a...0191-i-128.htm

Basically outlaws the use of nitrous oxide if you are caught. I believe the purchase statement to have to sign basically makes you say it will not be used in a vehicle that travels on public roads. EVEN if you're not USING it, it just being installed in the vehicle is a misdemeanor. I think my bottle is going where the spare used to be

If you can hide your nitrous setup from a street racer, you should have no problems with a cop finding it.
