Default Red Locktite or Teflon Tape?

Hey I just bought a 92mm Harris Speed Works Plate Kit and they recommend using teflon paste or red locktite. Whats everyone using and why? Are we using it on all the male threads in the kit. Thanks for the info.

Id use the paste if you have it, if not we just use red locktite because we always have that laying around.

I use tape on some stuff, and lock-tite on others. All depends on what mood I'm in, and who's car I'm working on.

I would not use the tape at all. Use red loc if you want it sealed good. OR that company makes a white paste that works well.

Either works fine. I find that the loctites seals better. Just don't over torque the fittings.

Loctite 577 is what you need. Its a pipe thread sealant but its not teflon based.

Is it in a white tube and has kind of a orange-greenish color? If so thats it. Works good.
