Default ms4 cam and forged bottom end?? nitrous?

i have an ls1 with forged wiseco pistons and eagle h beam connecting rods but a stock crank, 243 heads that were milled and it is 11.5 to 1 compression, and a ms4 cam with a 112 lsa. the motor has about 5k on it. my question is, will my setup take well to nitrous? also how much do you think my bottom end can handle? i was thinking of spraying a 300 shot at it. thank you very much for your help!!

You should start with a small shot like a 75-100 and work your way up to 250-300... 300 is kinda too much IMO, unless youre racing. For the streets 175-225 sounds safer. I would do a 150 or 175 for the ease of it. I'm running a 150 and its a no brainer.

I had a 150 dry with my ms4 on a stock bottom end and never had an issue, my car trapped 129 almost 130 on it @ 3600lbs. Put some NGK- BR7EF plugs in it and at least a 200 shot on it.

ok i will. if i wanted to spray that a 250-300 could my bottom end handle that? also will my pump be able to keep up? when i was on a stock bottom end i sprayed a 175 with a stand alone but i sold the stand alone to get the fuel pump i have now. i am not really new to nitrous, i just want to know if my setup now will take as well to nitrous as my set up did when i had a ms3 cam.

I would say your getting pretty close to on the fuel pump @ 300. Anything 175 up I would prolly run a race gas mix.

Ok, thank you for your help. What would be the mix ratio?

With your piston/rings/rods you will be fine spraying 250 shot with the right tune

you shouldn't just through that big jetting into your plate from the 1st time .. start with 100 shot ,, step then to 150 shot ,, and make your way up watching the AFR, Timing, Nitrous & Fuel pressure on each step

A stand alone fuel system is very recommended on bigger shots, you can run C16 in the standalone for nitrous and running N/A on 93 pump gas in your stock tank

ok thanks. i will work my way up im just testing my boundaries with the bottom end i have. what would be the biggest shot i can get away with on pump 93? i really wanted to keep it on pump gas and stay away from a stand alone.

Personally I have done 150 & 175 shots on 93 pump gas but above that I used c16 in stand alone fuel cell

Come on man, your setup with 250 shot will make over 650 rwhp and over 700 rwtq ! .. that power level on LS1 is really worth pulling the trigger on standalone

What plugs you gonna use ?

Stock bottom end with MS4 here....250 shot (Dave's plate), 8's for the plugs and a standalone running C16 (most of the time)...it's not a daily driver but so far it's held up. On a 200 shot before standalone it made 653/789 on a dynapak, FYI.

Id say thats more realistic, just be conservative on timing.
