Default Nitrous sputtering and not working correctly... PLZ HELP! (UPDATE PROBLEM FOUND!!!)

Alright so if you look in the srk section I went tonight to go race an 04 cobra that I previously raced. Anyways during the races my n20 will hit and I start to pull and than the damn car starts acting like it is missfiring. It feels kinda like the solenoid is opening and closing really quickly. Every race was the same it would hit and I would pull and than it would "sputter" like the nitrous was going off and on and he would pull.. Over and over like that. Everytime it hit and didn't sputter I would start to pull.

Things I thinkg could be wrong....

1. My window switch is f'ing up and making the solenoid open and close...
2. I have something clogging my line or solenoid not letting the n20 or fuel flow like it should.
3. The n20 is making my plugs misfire or not fire?
4. My fuel pump for some reason is not wanting to support the fuel to match the 100 hp anymore and is giving up on me.

I can't think of anything else. It never did this before the window switch so tonight i am going to check all my lines and solenoids to make sure nothing is in them and than I'm going to take the window switch out and do a couple pulls without it and see if it could be the problem...

Do you run a fuel pressure safety switch?

I know it sounds stupid, but when's the last time you changed the fuel filter? I ran into the same issue before where a clogged filter made it fall on it's face at about 4500. Shut it down, checked everything and tried again, same result. After some time tracing it, I replaced the fuel filter and bam, no problem. Just a thought.

What brand nitrous solenoids, and what window switch? Is it a drive by wire car? If not what are you using for a wide open throttle switch?

I experienced the same thing. checked things over, hunted and hunted. Turned out to be a loose ground. Something as simple as that and it plagued me for days!

The bottle pressure was high if anything. I had just gotten it filled an hour before. Presure was at 1050-1100 psi.

It runs strong off the bottle, but iguess you are saying maybe the filter clogged a little might not let it add quit enuf fuel for the n20? Ill check that out if its not something else

Nitrous outlet solenoids. Msd digital window switch, it's cable driven and it's the wot switch that came with the nitrous outlet kit. The more i think about it i think the window switch has to b messing up. It never did this before i installed it

The experts will chime in, but I believe your problem is pressure to high. One time I could not even get my solenoid to fire at all due to too much pressure.

High bottle pressure will make the solenoid not fire correctly.

I'd check the plugs while you're looking. I ate a plug once and it acted like you're describing.

Yea, but the car runs fine off the spray.. So I don't see how it could be plugs unless the nitrous is giving them problems. They are br7efs

I knoew i installed it right. Theres no reason it should work half the time and than not work half the time. The numbers have be going haywire and the decimal point moves on it. I have contacted msd for a refund. I am going to take it out and make sure it fixes the problem

I could never get my ls to run right with the msd digital. Ran great with my old lt car. Sounds like its the culprit.

Reason I asked about the FPSS was that I've always had issues those when it comes to spray/no spray problems

sounds like the msd is giving you some trouble. Try its with just the WOT switch on and see if you have the same problem. If you have the problem still let us know. We should be able to help you out.
