8.87 @ 153
Stock Cube Nitrous Car
Heres a few updates guys. i tried to edit my old thread but i couldnt figure it out, not sure its even possible. so here's a new update. Got the car out again this friday and saturday with the new converter. Ran a few back to back 9.0 runs on the 225 jets. 60's were 1.25,1.25,1.278. Decided to put the 300 jets back in. Went 8.87 @ 153 with a not so good 60' as the nitrous didnt come on til 20' out. tried again later on and it went 8.97 @ 148 spinning a bit and letting off early. Then saturday decided to run the local 9.50 bracket race. put the 150 jets in it thinking it would slow down a bunch, but much to my surprise i went out first round with a 9.37 @ 142, 5.96 @ 114 1/8th.
Big thanks to steve and doug at Legend Racing Ent. for helping me get where we are today. This thing is awesome and keeps impressing me. Suspension is setup damn near perfect, motor is running like a raped ape. Its still got more in the tune up and should post some stellar numbers when i can get it to 60' like it has been.
Eric at MWC did some great work on the front end this year!
Steve at Induction Solutions for a great setup and nitrous help!
Stay tuned we're not done yet. gonna lean on this tune up some more, and got a few jets left!

We really wanted to try and make the stock block shootout, however to make Georgia's LSX race we have a lot of trailer and truck maintenance to get done this weekend.
Should have some video up soon guys.

Few details on this engine combo.. This engine get's shifted around 7500, we leave at 3400 on the 2-step, nitrous is all in at the release of the brake..
Stock 5.3 crank, stock block, Compstar rods, Diamond pistons, Cloyes double roller timing chain, custom ground bullet cam, LS7 lifters, stock buckets, ls9 gaskets, Dart 225 ported heads, stock rockers with trunion upgrade, we run our cam at ZERO lash(no-preload), and a stock un-ported Super Vic with a Q850 on top..
It's a pretty basic, and affordable combo for anyone.. And still could be street driven!
