Default Nitrous Newb!! Help me out here guys!

Alright so Here is my situation.

I have a 97 Corvette M6

Just picked up a Nitrous express kit for a good deal with a 15lb bottle, WOT switch and a Window switch.

Right now My car only has Intake, Xpipe, And borla Axleback and No tune..

I know that the stock tune on these cars are pretty conservative and I also know that a general rule of thumb is retard 1-2 degrees of timing for every 50 shot of nitrous. I want to do this as safe as possible..

Since My car hasnt been tuned there is obviously quite a bit of power on the table there but I also dont want my car to be slower than it is now when Im not on the bottle..
Do you guys think that after a tune my car will still be faster than it is now even when im not on the bottle since I have no tune at all yet??

If you get the car tuned for both n/a and nitrous, then it will definitely be faster off the bottle as well

So youre saying I should be faster off the bottle and on since I have no tune at all yet?

Generally... The stronger your car runs on motor, the stronger and "safer" it will run on the juice. How are you planning to pull timing? You should also specify to us what kind of kit it is? Dry? Wet? Etc.

Its a nitrous express wet kit with a nozzle. I have no idea on what ways I can pull timing.. Jets anywhere from 50-150

Alright guys ive had some conflicting info amongst some people ive talked to..

The first opinion was made by my tuner. He said, " You should be able to run a 50 shot of N20 without making any tuning changes to your tune as long as you run colder plugs but he said it wouldnt be smart to go above that.

(we also live at 4500ft so our cylinder pressures are much lower than most of you).

Now I have a few people here on a local forum with lots of nitrous experience..

The consesus with them is " I have never taken out timing for anything less than 150 shot and have only ran colder plugs" and that 150 shot is not that big for a 346ci motor

So what is more accurate? I would rather not take out timing if I dont have to since im not going to go over 100 shot.. Im doing a wet kit so I dont have to do injectors or add fuel that way.

Im just so lost on what to do or who to listen to.. I just dont want to blow up my car! What do I do!!!!

Get a good baseline NA tune on your nitrous plugs(BR7EFS). Then use the LNc-2000 to pull timing out only when you're on the bottle.
