Default where to pull tach signal?

I got my system finished today but the solenoid wont fire at the desired rpm. The fire if I manually apply 12v and ground. Im pulling my tach signal from the white pcm wire. Should I pull it from the #1 cylinder instead? Thanks

i pulled mine from the main coil pack harness on the passenger side, its a light green wire i believe. right near the middle of the connectors main plug before it splits to each cylinder. i got that right from instructions. i used no wires from the pcm. works perfect

Red and blue wire from window switch is cut and heat shrinked, so its in 4cyl mode. What else could it be?

Yep. I've always pulled it from the coil or the injector itself, worked perfect every time.

I'm going to give that a shot, I just trouble shot all the wiring with Randy from leash electronics. Everything completes the circuit and solenoids click. It is supplying the signal to the window switch as well but the window switch either is bad or isn't getting a good tach signal.

I am pulling mine from the white PCM engine speed output wire under the fuse panel in the engine bay of my C5. It goes from the PCM - under hood fuse panel - inside the car. Tapping this wire you can set to 8cyl mode and it is a stronger signal.
