Default Will this cam be ok with a 150 plate system?

Hey there I am new to Nitrous and just hought I would check in with the experts.
I have a slightly built Ls7 and was thinking of putting a 150 plate system on it.
Specs are

LS7 block with ERL dry sleeves
Stock crank
Stock Ti rods with ARP rod bolts
Diamond forged Flat top pistons
Total seal rings gapped for 150-200
Stock LS7 heads home ported. 91% bowl intake and exhaust.
Stainless manley exhaust valves
Heads cut to 67cc
cometic HG
compression 11.5-1
Manley dual springs
manton pushrods
Fast 102 intake home ported with 102 TB
1 7/8 headers
Comp cams 246/251 107.5 LS +3.5
Morel 5206 lifters

The motor Dynoed out at 735hp/653Lbs am I ok with a 150 plate with this cam? The stall in the truck (Syclone ) is a 3600 circle D with a 4L80E and 4.10 gears.

Thanks

Nolan

Totally fine. Just make sure you get proper plugs in it and get the tjne-up right. You really don't need a nitrous specific cam until you get up to around a 300 shot. At 150 on a plate, you'll be golden.

By the way, looks like a nice build in a light truck. Those numbers are on an engine dyno I assume.

Yep Engine dyno. On mustang dyno its 560 rwhp. This truck is no light weight with the AWD and 80E, 14" wilwoods, 19" wheels, boxed frame = 3650lbs with out driver. Hoping for high 9's with the extra 150.

Thanks

Post up some pics. I think you'd be fine up to a 200 to 250 shot too.

Any thoughts on how far to push the Ti rods?

With the setup you have there will be no problems spraying the truck with a 150hp shot. Also as stated above if you wanted to pop up to 200hp you should be ok. I've seen people spray 300 on a slightly modded LS7 so I would have no worries at what your wanting to do.

PS: Clean looking truck ya got there!

Any plans to put a drag setup on that truck? I think you MAAAY need one if you plan on getting any traction at all.

Wow that truck is awesome! I don't think you will see any issues spraying 150 with that cam.

Quick autocross vid here

http://vid266.photobucket.com/albums...ps76916db0.mp4

I have roading racing vids but photo bucket has a max size limit.

I build the truck for autocross/road racing but the weight is a factor as well as automatic so I am building a 1993 Mazda RX7 with a Ls6 etc to road race.

I did run the truck on my Autocross tires Toyo 888 295/30/19 and it dead hooked and ran 1.6's 11.0 at 121mph we are at about 3200 da.

The converter is a tad tight but that will be good with the spray.
I will run it on vp111 when I spray it with proper plugs etc.
I will dial in the tune on the dyno first now I just need to decide on dry or wet.

Cant' really help you on the wet or dry; I have my opinions on what I would do, but both can be setup to work extremely well for what you're wanting to do. Best piece of advice I can give would be to talk to the boys over at Nitrous Outlet or Nitrous Express (both valuable sponsors on here) about what your goals are, what type of fuel setup you already have, etc. and they will be able to get you all taken care of.

Dry systems work really well with Aftermarket ECU systems, like Holley EFI. They are also used in applications where fuel puddling could be an issue, and also work well right after the intercooler on boosted applications. You'll have to provide additional fuel through the injectors at WOT on a dry system, where as a wet system provides it through a fuel solenoid and the nozzle. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Thanks,
Garrett
