So I finished my instal today of the proton plus kit i just tested it on a 50 shot to see what it would be like and I definitely felt it. I didn't have a chance to pull any timing which is why I only did 50. My only question is me and my buddy smelled something a little weird after spraying is that normal?

I went over all the fittings and everything's tight no sign of leaks idk if there would be condensation around the fitting or anything though. I read some threads of some people saying they can smell it and some saying they can't.

I never smell anything odd, but its damn near impossible that you hurt anything doing a 50 shot, if that's what your worried about.
But I do understand your caution.
I did the same thing.
Started at 50, then 75, etc.

I'm not so worried I hurt anything since I didn't hear a knock or anything funny. I'm more worried about having a leak somewhere but I'm pretty sure I don't since everything tight it might just be the oil burning off the new cutouts I put in

I can't remember if I smelled something funny my first time since it's been so long ago but we have had some customers that have had a funny smell and others that haven't. Couldn't tell you why or why not....

LOL. With the 100 pills he will!

OP just double check for leaks and I wouldn't be overly concerned. I have heard people say they can "smell" nitrous, I have never been able to..

Any issue with integrating extra safety items with this unit? Such as a FPSS and a Window Switch?

The proton kit was really easy to put in and I didn't have any problems putting in my fpss or my window switch. It shows you have to wire everything up in the instructions. My car goes tomorrow to get tuned for the 100 shot I might even go 150 not sure yet.

nice - i want to get a few additional items before i install, namely a pressure
gauge, which is cheap, and a few other odd bits.

did you buy any parts above and beyond what the kit provided for your install ?

You can buy that stuff through us or any of our dealers. PM or shoot me a call if you have any questions or need to order anything.
