Default Header advice

Everything I have read is you can't over header a nitrous motor. I am currently running 1 3/4 pacesetter headers. I just sent a set of 243s out for porting. I have been running unmilled 241s. When I swap heads should I go 1 7/8 or 2". Spraying 250 plus, Ls6 intake, nitrous outlet plate.

I like the SE 1 7/8" (on both my cars) I think TS makes a 2" for twice the $$.
You should be fine with the 1 7/8"

1 thing to consider is if your running an aftermaket k-member or not. 1-7/8" work on stock k with no modifications, the 2" you'll have to cut a little. Ive got pics of stock k cut for 2" if youd like.

I think I've seen them, I don't mind cutting. If the 2" is overkill I'll get the 1 7/8.

Oh yeah, this is SBE.

Maybe plan ahead. If you feel you'll hang onto the car for a while god only knows what motor you'll end up with. A couple extra hundred now will save quite a bit in the future. I seen a post from TSP saying the 2" weren't selling so im sure they arent going keep them long term. And if TSP dont have them that leaves you with kooks. I dont think 1-7/8 will be hurting you though.

I'm only spraying a 150 shot now but plan on working my way up to 250-300 shot. I am running 1 3/4 now and have thought about building me a set either 1 7/8 or 2". interested in what you find out.

Kooks 2" you won't be disappointed. Fit excellent. I can put them in from the top or bottom. They also have complete systems that flow almost as good as leaving them open. Expensive yes. But you are definitely getting what you are paying for. I believe they have a stepped 2 to 2 1/8 now too.

1 7/8" is a great header for what you're wanting to do. Texas Speed makes a nice set that I've seen give great results.
