got a new best on the home made 150 shot
well, to start off, i went with a more agressive nitrous tune on it. i leaned out the PE/RPM tables a little bit and backed the timeing off to 22 degrees to compensate for it. i also went ahead and put in 3 gallons of 99 octane for a little bit more safty. first run off the trailer NA with the nitrous tune was a very slower 12.04 at 115. with the NA tune i have done 11.80s last month. that was ok with me because i did not have the laptop at the track to change to the NA tune. anyways, once i opened the bottle up i remembered i forgot to fill it and the pressure was only at 850!!. i ran it anyways and got a 10.75 at a way faster 132mph. my previous time was a 10.83 at only 128. i should of launched of the bottle but i decided not to. the 60ft was only 1.86. on my second run, i really did not have enough bottle pressure but i wanted to see how it would hook on the spray so i ran anyways. i launched on it and got a 1.66 60ft. after that the car slowed way down so i just let off and ran a 11.00 flat. bottle pressure after the run was at 650 i was pretty happy eather way. i am sure that it gots more in it once i get a good run off of it.

Nice times. I bet you don't forget to fill the bottle again. I have 2 bottles both are empty right now. Track is closed. Oh course this weekend is cool, dry and high bromo. What was your DA? Better air than last time? 10.75 is cool. The 132mph is awesome. Full bottle, good air, Mid 10's are within your reach.
What do you normally run your bottle at? I have yet to squeze out more that 925 on mine.
Good luck
David

How do you gain 17mph from 150 shot and only 850psi???? Somethings not right. With only 850 psi in the bottle and 150 jets i would only expect to see 12-14mph gain from the bottle MAX. What are the numbers on the jets?

hey dave, i was noticeing your new timeslips and notice that it seems you are getting pretty good 60s and 1/8th mile times. what gear stall and tires are you running. i am asking because i cant 60 or 1/8th my car worth a crap compared to most LS1 running simular times. it seems like my car does not wake up in till 3rd gear. then it feels real strong.

Yes...with the nitrogen push you will get the same performance from first run to last run.
As far as running out...I havent yet. I alwasy estimate how many runs I think I can make...and if there is a question...pull the bottle out and weigh it or atleast try to feel if its near empty. I have done this so much I can usually tell when Im at 2-3 lbs in my 15 lb bottle by feel. At that time its time to swap bottles.
As far as gaining 17 mph on a 150 shot with low bottle pressure. Those jets may be rated at 150...but his car may be a bit more efficient and getting another 10-15 hp. Also...dobt forget he lost some MPH by going to his nitrous tune so the differential will be greater.
Those jet sizes are just a general rating. Thats why I always dyno my car with as much data as possible and mark my own jets for what HP they really are. I even drill my own jets.
