Talking New toy for the '69! NX MAF kit....

Thanks to Nitro Dave for getting me this fancy Nitrous Express kit. I opted for the fully polished bottle for my showcar.

Should go 10s on the next visit (Magnacharged 348ci LS6), and then the bottle goes on. My goals are 9s on the jug

I'm not a newbie to nitrous.

So I guess you really are going to beat PSJ into the 9s and with a "show car".

PSJ and I have a $100 bet going on who sees 9s first.

Probably start installing the NX setup this weekend, but I won't run it until I dyno/wideband it. Just want to have it ready

I was one of the original founders of LS1 nitrous-aholics annonymous. Back in 1999 I was the first LS1 owner on the net to crack 130 mph trap speeds. Heads/cam/nitrous ran 11.1 @ 130 mph on regular Firestone 275 tires. Then I busted the 10-bolt and sold the nitrous kit. haha

Brad, that shiny polished bottle matches the engine:

Out of all 6 NX kits I had on my Formula from Nitro Dave (single nozzle dry, single nozzle wet, HALO, MAF, Direct port, NXL) the MAF kit was my favorite

It's going to love it! Trust me.

Have you decided where you're going to mount the nozzle? I suggest about 3 inches in front of the TB in your custom intake tube.

Blower + wet kit = T O R Q U E

I know it's a different car/setup, but a 50shot made 110rwtq on my Cobra (roots blower).

Now thats just a little overboard! Hell, a $100 bet with PSJ (Professional Setup-for-sale-again-John) on who gets to the 9s first, insayne he is....must be selling all his current stuff to go lease Big Mikes car or something

Thats is THE Bling-o-rama LS1 there Tony, and obvioulsy only getting better!

Have fun!

Brad, these are old school ARE valvecovers. They stopped making them about 3 years ago. I bought them used and had them chrome plated. Eastside Performance sells some sheetmetal ones though.

One of my goals when building this car is to prove that showcars can run as good as they look. I was sick of slow *** polished garage queens that weren't driven hard.

uh oh, two power adders, a cage and no a/c....... race car. Should run good, I'm happy that the current G-machine trend is live and well. I hated the pro-street classics of the 80s and early 90s that were super elaborate but never driven more than off the trailer and in to the show spot. I remember you saying a while ago about having dope on the 98, didint a drive shaft let go on a pass? Any case, cant wait to see it hit some 9s, good luck with it, already runs as good as it looks.

Neil, its definitely closer to a race car than a daily driver. Never intended it to be a mild wuss-mobile though

rides like **** but handles great, its loud and obnoxious, and has too much power for its own good, and hauls ***. Hotrodder perfection
