Direct port NX question
Are the direct port NX systems (like the 80000EFI Kit) low fuel pressure systems? I was reading the install procedures on their website and saw where they said to install a regulator and adjust to the 5 psi range for fuel. Is this true? Seems strange to see that low of fuel pressure when my single nozzle NX systems runs at the 58 psi line pressure. What am I missing?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Another thing with direct ports depending on how much you are going to spray you might think about a stand alone fuel system, with higher octane fuel in it.

Thanks for the replys. I have had some e-mails with Jeremy at NX and he suggested going with a Higher pressure reg (30 to 70psi) to "fine" tune the system. So this goes with what NXRicky is saying. It was just confusing when I read the low psi ratings on the EFI kit. Hoping to be doing a 200 shot. I am running a 100 shot single nozzle NX at this time so the extra HP should be fun, not to mention the "Ohhhh - Ahhhh" factor with Direct port.

Trust me if you want many many different power level you have to use low pressure. EXP. LOw pressure. 50-100-150-200-250-300-350-400-450-500-600-700-800
High Pressure 100-150-200-300-400-500
These tunes up are on file. On high pressure even making a .001 step up in fuel size gives alot more fuel then that same .001 at low pressure.
Anyway glad to hear you are going direct port. They do look fast just sitting there.

Would it be better to give you a call and talk about these issues for direct port? I want to "try" and get this right the first time and not buy the wrong accessories!

not to hijack this thread in any way, but, i am about to do the 20224 two stage kit. i am going to be using a standalone fuel cel for it and have been debating on either low or high pressure. so, does the same hold true with the nozzle kits too?

Airwolf,
I prefer the low pressure setups on th edirectport.Heres why.You van add a dedicated fuel system to make sure you have plenty of fuel. With the lowpressure setups you can get a wider range of jetting. You can get it broke down into 50 size shotsExample..150,200,250 etc.You will do beg changes in tunning by changing the fuel jets. When it get to the point it just needs a small adjustment you can adjust it by adjusting fuel pressure..
Check out our dedicated fuel systems. They can be adjusted for high or low pressure.
