Default 150 shot picked up 2 tenths???what could it be?

Hey guys, well a buddie of mine is having a fit trying to get his nitrous working right. It is a bolt on a4 that runs 7.80's on motor @ 87 mph and the best it has run on the 150(wet) is a 7.40 @91 mph.He only did that once, the other night he ran a 7.60@89 mph. It is a brand new nos bottle w/bottle heater and his pressure was a little over 1000. he has an arming switch, a purge, and he uses a button to spray with. he has replaced everything and cant get it to do right.he has his spray nozzle in the side of his stock bellows.he still has the stock fuel system also. any ideas? thanks guys

the nozzle is in the side of the bellows at a slight angle towards the throttle body. and i assume he had the bottle turned all the way on.

LOL, I have kinda the same problem, I run a good 1/4 mile with the 150 shot, but my 1/8th sucks ***, if my 1/8 got better I would probably be around a 11.7. Anyway, the problem I have is traction. He needs to have some nice sticky tires. I am assuming that with the nitrous he isnt getting much traction.

brad...he is on full slicks so i know that isnt to much of an issue.

import... i didnt know it was supposed to be facing away from the throttle body. this is a wet kit not a dry(just incase you didnt see that) but if it is facing away from the throttle body wont it hit the maf sensor? i hope it is that simple of a fix though. thanks for the input.

i think he may have found the problem. he installed a new nitrous filter after he got the car dyno tuned. the car gained 110 rwhp w/ a 150 shot. he called nos and they told him the filter is restricting the nitrous so he has to jet it like a 175 shot to get the 150. sound right to you guys?

A "nitrous filter"???

Never seen one nor used one. What exactly are you "filtering"??

FYI, the nozzle should be pointed TOWARDS the TB regardless of whether it's a dry or wet kit.
