Default thermostat question

can anyone point me to the right place if there is one that has a diffrent thermostat than the one that comes with the nos heater. want to get the pressure higher than what the nos thermostat allows i think it is 85 degree bottle temp. does anyone have one or know where i can purchase one.

You could buy a pressure switch like this, http://www.dynotunenitrous.com/store...p?idproduct=43 . Or, if you have a remote gauge you may want to consider running it manually off the toggle. I've run mine manually since the first week I had it.

Yeah, I usually have mine up to about 1100 psi by the time I'm at the burnout out box. Then I purge off 50-100 psi. I usually turn the heater back on as I roll up to the beams so I can start putting some heat back in it before I get back to the lanes.

There was someone that got a new heater just like the one that comes with the kit, but he got his at home depot, I think it was for a water heater, I dont remember the values but I know it kept the bottle right at 1000-1050PSI.

Are you sure you had it hooked up right? It should keep it in the 900-1000 range. The temprature is 85 degrees on the NOS heater, cant see it being much different with the NX heater.

The NOS heater is a good choice as it is a 300 watt heater and will heat a bottle in 80% of the time a 240 watt will (NX). In my web in the links is the manufacturer of the the electronic thermastats that NOS uses. I change from the *85's to the *95's and now bottle heats to 1150psi on a full bottle. This is great for dry hits, but on wet raising pressure above manufacturers rec press will throw your a/f out of wack. This doesn't happen on a dry hit, it's like putting in bigger jets. Also, with elect transducer when bottle no longer heats higher than 900psi it means there is about 3-pounds n2o left. Try that with a mech transducer that ugly hangs off your bottle.
Robert

Edit: I run a crappy NX heater with the NOS *95 thermastats.
