Default My TR6 plug???

I pulled one of my plugs out, its a NGK TR6. It had a V groove in the end on the center metal thing, cant remember the proper name of it right now. Anyway anyone know why the hell it has a V groove in it, I pretty damn sure it wasnt there when I bought them. Could this be from detonation or anything else I should be worried about? I run a 150 wet shot.

I'd have to go pull one out of the car to be sure, but I'm almost positive it has a V groove already .

Cat3 is our plug guy, but here goes. the V-groove is for flame propagation. In other words to give a wider/larger flame front to ignite fuel mix more effiecently. I don't claim to be a plug expert, but I think that's the jist of it.

Those are call NGK TR6 V Power plugs, kind of like split fire type plugs. And yes they should be stock and not from detonation. Don't worry about it pull another one out and it will look the same.

For the screw caps, I ALWAYS hold the plug with a wrench or socket (but plug in upside down) and tighten the cap with a pair of pliers, carefully to not deform, but very tight. If not, the cap will cause the plug to lose its efficiency and thus misfire pronation begins.
V-Groove = excellent plug, way more efficient than the Split fires. IX series NGK very nice, and cheaper then the Denso's.
