What size tubing for hard lines?
I think I'm going to buy one of Nitro Dave's new plates and I want to run hardlines from the solenoids to the plate. What diameter tubing do I need? Will 5/16" OD stainless tubing work?
Also, is there any place where I can get just plain polished b-nuts and sleeves? I don't want anodized, I just want shiny stainless.

Yes, you can get all your fittings in SS at any Local Hydraulics outfit. Not sure if vendors carry this stuff. However, polishing will need to be done at home or another shop. In my web is oictures of polished fittings, hose ends, noids etc. If you look close behind one of the Harley pics you'll see my Harber Frieght 6inch set-up I used for all my polishing. Even my noid mount is polished. also, polished mucho stuff on bike. It's hard work but pays off in the looks dept.

I know what you mean, that's why I plan on taking the time to polish everything before it goes on. I even plan on polishing the hard lines. I'm not sure if I want to go with aluminum for high polish or the stainless for the strength. I'm looking at the stainless because I found a good deal on a 20' spool. I just need to know if 5/16" OD will work.

We don't have any polished ones, but we do have some clear anodized aluminum ones that might work for you. It depends if you're going after the bling shinny look. I've attached a pic.

Ok, this is getting a bit frustrating. I've read post after post discussing the used of brake line tubing for this but nowhere does it mentions the actual size of the tubing. Surely someone must have an answer for me!

Thank you very much! I just want to run hard lines from the plate, 3an, to the solenoid which is a 4an connection. Will 5/16 work with a 3an on one end and a 4an on the other? I guess I could just get a 1/8" NPT to 3an fitting for that side of the solenoid.

In braided line yes. But hard line I believe you'll need adapter fittings. Why not stay with -4 all the way to plate? 3/16 -3 is usually run from a -4 y or t . To two nozzles, thus spitting up the job of a single -4.

Right, I'll need adapter fittings since the plate comes with 3an fittings. Man, do I want to do hardlines with adapters now or do I want to have Nitro Dave fab me up some custom NX triple insulated hose with a 4an nut on one end and a 3an nut on the other? Hmm...
