Default Smallest Shot You can Run on a NX Dual Nozzle Kit?

Guys I am ultimately running A 100 SHOT on my Dual Nozzle I got from Nitro Dave.

I know that you run 50 HP on each side to get a total of 100 HP.
(N2O #35 Fuel #18)

When we dynoed it originally on these jets above it went 13.1, way lean so they put a bigger fuel jet in (not sure what #, but I am guessing #22) and then it went to 11.9

I am just working in a new motor and Might want to be safe and spray it small just to see what happens first. What is ther smallest shot you can run on a Dual Nozzle?
Can you do a 50 or 75 and if so what # Fuel and N2O Jets do you use on each side of the Nozzle?

Thanks

I am no expert but I think the smallest jets you can do on 1 nozzle is 50hp so if you wanted to do 50 or 75 I would think you have to plug up the other nozzle some how or cap the lines off. Not sure what to do to plug the nozzle up or if this is even safe.

You should be able to run about as small as you want. Just think of a direct port 100 shot....only 12.5 hp per fogger....

Thanks, but are there certain jets that would achieve this , or should I just go ahead and hit it with 100

I personally would just run one side for a 50 shot if you are worried. A little change to the plumbing would do it. If you must run the 2 nozzles, a 28 N / 15 F would be a 60 shot for a dual nozzle.
P.S. My calculator states a 35 N /19 F for a dual nozzle 100 shot...
Good luck!!!

Mike,

How are you? Have you been following my Saga? Did you see the few pictures I posted of the install?

I am just getting everything broken in and then will spray. My NX Jet Chart says #35/#18 for 100 shot. I don't think they have smaller jets.

I just want to make sure all is cool and I don't mess anythin gup, like me new $5K Engine

I am sure I can spray 100 no problem.

AGAIN, I wonder why Originally when I dynoed it I had to go to a 150 Size FUEL JET and a standard 100 size N20 Jet to get to 11.9 A/F????????????? I am not sure if it had to do with my engine going out, or the cylander leaking, or what.

I used Used #22 Fuel (Which is normally the fuel for a 150 shot) and the #35 N2O (WHich is for N2O for the 100 shot).

I figured it is better to try this combo AGAIN on the new set up when I dyno for the 1st time, because I would rather spray too much fuel and be rich, than not enough and be Lean.

Thanks

Hello Gary.
I have read some of the "saga" and feel for you. Throwing an extra $5K at the car ALWAYS hurts when you are not expecting it. As far as your jetting is concerned, are you running a stock fuel pump? I don't remember if you are or not. This could be an area of concern making you go lean when the nitrous is on, so a larger fuel pill would help if you are. According to my calc's, this "could" mean your fuel pressure was in the low 40 range when you sprayed. I am not saying it was, just saying that at the jet number you stated, a 22 F, and nitrous at 1050 PSI with a 35, then fuel output would be in this range!
I personally believe a small shot is always better to check "things" out with first then a large one. Large shots not working right usually means large problems. Nothing wrong in being safe and starting small, but to some guys a 100 shot is small! It's up to you. Looks like an easy re-plumb job to do a single nozzle for your first test.
Just for some additional info, my calc states a 45 N and a 24F for a 150 shot on your dual system.

Best of luck and keep us informed. The install looks good. Now you just need to feel it!!!!

Thanks Mike. Yes I have a stock fuel pump. I am not replumbing just to test. I will just do a 100 shot.

They will be tuning it and will have LS1 Edit or HP Tuners, so Can't they monitor the Fuel Pump's Duty Cycle When they spray it, just to make sure it has sufficient capacity to support the 100 wet shot I will be spraying.

Yeah, maybe that is why it went lean (13.1) using the standard 100 wet shot pills when they dynoed it the first time.

However, my buddy told me to use bigger fuel Jets when I sprayed , apparantly it might have had something to do with the mods I currently have?

Now I am not sure to spray the 100 fuel pill or go te 150 fuel pill. Well I guess to be safe I will spray the 150 shot fuel pill so if anything it will be rich, not lean.

I already know with the pills in there now (100 N20/ 150 Fuel) it went 11.9, A/F but my motor was going out at the time and the #7 piston was in the process of geting toasted, so I am not sure if that had an effect on the 11.9 A/F Ratio I ran on the dyno?

BTW, my engine went out after that run and was clicking and also only made 50 RWHP on that 100 shot. So maybe that was a result of my motor going out.

Gary,
You can spray a 75 shot on the dual nozzle kit.
NXs jetting for the 100 is 35-20 in each nozzle.Ill look up the 75 tommorow.

Thanks Dave. The Bag of Jets that came with my NX Dual Nozzle Kit says to use #35 and #18 for a 100 shot?

It says Dual Nozzle Jetting Chart on the Bag so I assume this is correct. Let me know though.

I appreciate it..
